RE: YEA!! Darn dog 'strollers' banned!

My $0.02 is when "Precious" is riding on the lap of the operator of a motor vehicle. IMHO that is putting the indulgences of the dog and the goob driving above the safety of everybody sharing the roads with them.
Knock it off people!!

RE: Generator size to operate a Flat pannel TV

Every piece of electronics equipment I've ever bought shows power demand in the owner's manual. Try the manufacturer's web site if you don't have the manual any longer.
My guts say you'll be fine, but check the manual first.

RE: Here's one for the books!!!

I vote for #1. Drive shafts, even the smaller front ones make a lot of noise if they separate at speed. Someone decided that they needed it more than you did.
I agree. It is entirely possible for the front driveline to come out while driving, and believe me when it happens there isn't any doubt that something is wrong. It gives the kind of alarm that makes it necessary to change your shorts afterwards.

RE: Draw on battery has me stumped

Are you using the breakaway switch on your brakes to park your camper?

RE: Draw on battery has me stumped

Could even be the battery itself.
This was my first thought. Get a good charge on your battery then disconnect it and let it set a couple of days. If it goes dead while it isn't hooked to anything, then your Jeep needs a new battery.

RE: Traveling with the Dog

Never!!! Not in a million years. Can your wife fit in the back with the kids? Put the dog up front in a harness. Thats the only solution I can think of.
I'm about 75% this reply is tongue in cheek, but it is very indicative of people forgetting that dogs while a significant part of the family are just pets so the answers you're likely to get are going to be quite skewed.
The only downfall I can think of about putting the dog in the trailer is that dogs sometimes get motion sick and he might puke all over the inside of your camper. If that doesn't apply to your dog, let him ride in the trailer.

RE: If I turn the gas on to run the fridge overnight....

If you're concerned about propane useage, plug your unit in and run it with electricity.

RE: Inconsiderate or "JUST STUPID"?

I dont see why it a big deal, if you can't park there go somewhere else.
I agree with benbovac. It appears to me that you've got too much time on your hands and not enough real problems to worry about. LOL
You're sweating the small stuff IMHO.

RE: driving washboard roads

If you shift into 4 wheel drive on washboarded roads you will see a significant improvement in the way your vehicle handles.

RE: Who tows in Overdrive?

I've got 2 overdrives and I don't have a problem with using either of them while towing.
As long as you don't let your transmission hunt for gears making it shift over and over and over, there shouldn't be a problem.

RE: Anyone been to the Brickyard 400?

The best place to sit is in you living room. I've been to the Brickyard 400 and the Indy 500 and because of the size of the track, it really isn't viewer friendly. That said, I understand the allure of going to the brickyard race.
I'd recommend sitting in turn 4 as close to the start/finish line as you can and still see turn 3. That gives you turn 3, the short chute, turn 4 and then the front stretch to the finish.

RE: Non-Chinese Tires? Anyone?

You could try Maxxis tires. I have heard nothing but good from folks that use them.
For what it is worth, my Jayco came from the factory with Maxxis tires. I've been VERY impressed with them.

Stinky slinky... THAT IS FUNNY!!
I've never heard that before, I'm going to steal it!! :)
After you finish your business, do you put on a fresh pair of sanitary gloves before you wipe or is the tp enough protection?
This is very correct. There isn't anything in that tank that you didn't put there.
